On January 4, Xiaomi will introduce its mid-range Redmi Note 13 series in India. The Redmi Note 13, Redmi Note 13 Pro, and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ are to be part of this series. Because the three models have previously been introduced in China, they are expected to have similar characteristics in India. All three versions will have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The Redmi Note 13 is believed to be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 6080 SoC, the Pro model by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra SoC.
In terms of cameras, the Redmi Note 13 model is rumoured to have a 100MP dual rear camera configuration, whilst the Pro variants are expected to have a triple back camera setup with a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 main sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS). They may all have a 16MP selfie camera on the front. In terms of battery capacity, the Redmi Note 13 series is likely to include a 5,000 mAh battery.
The reported price of the Redmi Note 13 Pro was leaked online ahead of its release. The box price of the Redmi Note 13 Pro 12GB + 256GB model is expected to be Rs 32,999. However, the true cost would be lower.
- OnePlus 12 Series
The OnePlus 12, which will be introduced in the market on January 23, 2024, is a highly anticipated smartphone launch in the first half of 2024. The price and availability of the phone will be officially revealed at the launch event. While the OnePlus 12 may seem similar to its predecessor, considerable internal changes are expected.
There will be a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU, an upgraded display, better cameras, and a longer battery life. In India, the OnePlus 12 is anticipated to cost more than Rs 60,000. Along with the OnePlus 12R, the company is offering a more cheap variant. According to the Chinese variation, the OnePlus 12 5G would have a 6.82-inch quad-HD+ LTPO OLED screen with an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz.
The camera on the OnePlus 12 is rumoured to be Hasselblad, with a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary lens, a 64MP telephoto camera, and a 48MP ultra-wide angle lens. It might have a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies. The OnePlus 12 5G is likely to have a 5,400 mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC charging.

Vivo is also focusing on the high-end smartphone market, and it is preparing to debut its premium-tier X100 series handsets. The devices will be the successors of the X 90 range. The X100 Pro has already been introduced in the brand’s native country of China, and it presents itself as a tough smartphone.
The new X100 Pro is expected to be a camera-centric smartphone, similar to previous X series devices, however, it will have a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset rather than a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro are set to be part of the series.
