Oppo has officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Find X7 Ultra, introducing groundbreaking features to the smartphone industry. This device boasts the world’s premier dual-periscope telephoto cameras and proudly holds the title of being the first-ever phone equipped with a cutting-edge 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor.
Teaming up once again with Swedish company Hasselblad for camera tuning, Oppo has integrated a quad-camera setup into the Find X7 Ultra. The innovative HyperTone engine promises to maintain the natural appearance of your photos while ensuring top-notch quality.
At the front, the phone features a 6.82” LTPO OLED display with a high refresh rate of 120 Hz and a QHD+ resolution. This display dazzles with up to 4,500 nits peak brightness and supports ProXDR, Oppo’s take on the Ultra HDR image format.
Under the hood, the Find X7 Ultra is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, coupled with up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and a spacious 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage.
The camera setup is undoubtedly the highlight of the Find X7 Ultra, featuring four powerful 50 MP sensors. The wide camera incorporates a second-generation 1-inch type Sony LYT-900 stacked sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS. The ultra-wide-angle shooter adopts a new Sony LYT-600 sensor with a 1/1.95” size and 14 mm equivalent focal length, offering an f/2.0 aperture and autofocus.
What sets the Find X7 Ultra apart is its dual-periscope solution. It retains the 65mm 3x periscope camera from its predecessor, the Oppo Find X6 Pro, featuring a 1/1.56” Sony IMX890 sensor, f/2.6 aperture, OIS, and a minimum focus distance of 25cm. Additionally, the X7 Ultra introduces a 135mm 6x telephoto camera with a 1/2.51” Sony IMX858 sensor, OIS, and a minimum focus distance of 35cm.
The camera app will include a Master Mode, developed in collaboration with Hasselblad, offering an advanced Pro mode for tuning image parameters and enabling RAW shooting. A 16-bit RAW MAX mode is set to be released in March through a software update.
In terms of battery life, the Find X7 Ultra is equipped with a robust 5,000 mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device runs on Android 14 out of the box, featuring Oppo’s ColorOS.
While the Oppo Find X7 Ultra is currently exclusive to the Chinese market, it comes with various storage options at attractive price points. The 12/256 GB variant is priced at CNY5,999 ($840), the 16/256 GB at CNY6,499 ($910), and the top-tier 16/512 GB option at CNY6,999 ($980).
